The Locanda Cavour is located in a very central position not far from Piazza Vecchia, the symbol par excellence of Bergamo Alta, overlooked by imposing buildings arranged in a harmonious geometry. These include the Palazzo della Ragione, the oldest existing municipal seat in Lombardy, the Civic Tower known as "Il Campanone", the Contarini fountain, the Palazzo Nuovo, which today houses the Angelo Mai Library, and the Cathedral. Thanks to its location, La Locanda can be the ideal starting point for a tour of the Bergamo hills, but also for a visit to the Astino Valley, where the former Monastery stands. In 2012 it underwent an impressive renovation and was converted into a venue for events, exhibitions and initiatives related to the theme of food, wine and nutrition during EXPO 2015. Today it is recognised as an oasis of biodiversity.
There are six guest rooms on four floors, all equipped with Tv and telephone. To recall the characteristic feature of the place they belong to, each room has been renamed after a pastry.
It is located on the first floor of La Locanda. It consists of two separate but communicating rooms, which allows you to convert the double into a triple. There are a double bed, a single bed and two bathrooms.
It is the jewel in the Locanda's crown. It is on the fourth floor and cannot be reached by lift. It has a small lounge, a large window with exposed wooden beams and a charming little terrace overlooking an internal courtyard typical of the historic centre.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and throughout the hotel. It is also possible to book the shuttle service from/to the airport and organise guided tours in Città Alta, the upper and ancient part of Bergamo. A transfer service from/to Da Vittorio restaurant is available for guests (on request). For those travelling by car, access to the limited traffic zone (ZTL) is included.
